Zen And Cement is a small studio/workshop situated in Marrickville. Our aim is to produce unique pieces influenced  by Japanese and Scandinavian design.

The common denominator in most of our work is cement,  often in a combination with wood, copper and sometimes glass.

As one our goals is to be as environmentally friendly as possible, we source our materials to make moulds etc from places like Reverse Garbage and The Bower in Marrickville. The wood we use is either old hardwood from old fence posts or similar offcuts / rejects of unusual timbers.

Covid-19 Update

With the Covid-19 pandemic life became very different - I had to close my much loved workshop in Marrickville and this together with the closing of all outdoor markets was a real blow. Since the start of the pandemic I have returned to working with stained glass which is keeping me busy full time.

All items shown are available on-line and can be delivered to the Sydney metropolitan area or couriered to other parts of Australia.
